Convert Videos to Any Format on Mac

Step 1 Open UniConverter Video Converter on Mac.

Launch Wondershare UniConverter 18 on your Mac. From the Home screen, click Converter to open the video conversion workspace. You can also access Converter from the left sidebar.

Step 2 Import videos for conversion.

In the Converting tab, click Add File to choose videos from your Mac. You can also drag files directly into the Converter window or use Add File/Folder to import more files.

Once your videos are imported, they appear in the Converting list. Review the source format, resolution, and file details before configuring the output options.

Step 3 Select an output format and audio tracks.

Click Convert to at the bottom of the Converter window. Under the Video tab, choose an output format such as MP4, MOV, MKV, or AVI. Then select a resolution preset, such as Original Resolution, HD 1080P, 4K Video, or 8K Video, according to your needs.

Keep Multiple Audio Tracks During Conversion

UniConverter 18 for Mac lets you choose which audio tracks to include in the converted video. Open the Audio Track menu and select Select all audio track(s) to keep the available tracks, or select individual audio tracks as needed. Whether the original audio can be retained without re-encoding depends on the output format and codec compatibility.

Step 4 Configure high-speed conversion.

To adjust conversion performance, click High Speed Conversion near the top of the Converter interface. Enable Ultra-fast Speed or GPU Acceleration as needed. These options can help speed up compatible conversion tasks, depending on your Mac hardware, source files, and output settings.

Step 5 Convert videos and find the output files.

Choose where to save your converted videos using the Save to menu at the bottom of the window. Once the format and settings are ready, click Convert All to begin converting your videos.

After the conversion finishes, open the Finished tab to see the completed files. Click the folder icon next to a video to open its saved location on your Mac.

Automatically Convert Videos on Mac with Watch Folder

UniConverter 18 for Mac also supports Watch Folder, which monitors a selected folder and automatically converts new media files added to it. This is useful when you regularly need to process videos in the same output format.

Go to Converter and open the Watch Folder tab. Under Watching, choose the folder you want UniConverter to monitor. Set the output destination under Save to, then select the required video format from the Convert to menu.

Click Start to begin monitoring the selected folder. When Activated appears, Watch Folder is running and ready to process newly added files. To stop monitoring temporarily, click Pause.
