How to Edit Subtitles on Mac With Wondershare UniConverter
Understanding movies in a foreign language is impossible, but it can be made easy with accurate subtitles. When you have inaccurate video captions, you can use UniConverter for Mac as an extensive solution for editing subtitles to perfection.
Users can fix the faulty text in the captions and enjoy the video playback with a complete understanding. Additionally, UniConverter users can modify the outlook of their captions by using the subtitle templates and custom font properties.
Tutorial to Edit Subtitles on Mac With UniConverter
Step 1. Choose the Subtitle Editor From UniConverter’s Homepage
Initiate the process by launching UniConverter on your MacBook and accessing the Video section from its homepage. Next, press the Subtitle Editor tab and import the video for which you want to edit subtitles by choosing the Add Files(s) option.
Step 2. Import the SRT File
In the following interface, select the +Add Files option from the top left corner to import another video and tap the Import Subtitle File option to add an existing caption file.
Step 3. Modify The Captions and Export
Once the text is imported, make changes to the desired text by clicking on it under the Edit section. While doing so, you can choose the Hamburger icon beside the delete one to add more subtitles. To manually insert lines in subtitles, pick the Add Line option while selecting the desired video duration.
If any mistake happens, navigate to its undo and redo tools to correct subtitles. On the same interface, tap the Switch to Video Picture icon to convert the video frames into pictures.
Step 4. Change the Edited Captions Styles
Next, access the Style section to modify the text size, color, and other display attributes. On the contrary, choose the Save as Custom option on the same screen and save the subtitle file. After doing so, you can manually tailor the style and bold or underline them to boost the appeal.
If you can’t comprehend the subtitles, hover over the Translator button to get instant translations of your subtitles. Finally, before you hit the Export button to save the changes to your Mac device, pick the file location by tapping the Folder icon.
Step 5. Export the Subtitle File
Upon tapping the Export button, a pop-up menu will display on the screen where you can pick the desired file format. As it's done, press the Export button again to save it to your MacBook.
Step 6. Fetch the File from Finder
Now, wait till the file is exported, after which Finder will display on the screen, determining the location of the saved subtitle file.
