Scene Detection
Part 1: Introduction
Are there any video editors reading this? You’ll find the Scene Detection tool to be useful because it breaks videos into several scenes, making frame-by-frame editing much faster and more efficient. The three steps below show you how to maximize this tool.
Part 2: Guides
Step 1 Open Wondershare UniConverter and Launch Scene Detection
Download and install UniConverter, then click and open “Scene Detection.”
Step 2 Load Video
Click the “+” sign to open a Finder window, locate the video of the appropriate length, and add it to the tool. You can also drag and drop the file onto the software.
If the video is large or high quality, the software will take minutes to analyze it and determine how it will break it into scenes; a short video can be analyzed in seconds.
Step 3 Export Scenes
Regardless of the length of the video you add, Scene Deettion will break it into several scenes of unequal lengths. For example, we added an 8-minute video that the tool snipped into sixteen scenes.
While you can’t decide how long each scene will be, trust the tool’s capabilities to know how to detect the best scenes and trim them to the perfect lengths.
The software’s right panel shows a list of scenes. You can export all of them or click the “x” icon beside the scenes you don’t need to remove them from the list.
Once you’ve selected the scenes you want (or left them the way they are), click “Export.” They will be saved on your Mac.
