Text-To-Speech
Part 1: Introduction
Text-to-speech technology has reshaped and continues to redefine how content creators, business owners, educators, and other individuals and corporations work. It’s a great alternative to investing hours in recording voices.
This technology allows you to create a voice from a script, which can be used for educational, informational, or other purposes. Here’s how to use it.
Part 2: Guides
Step 1 Open Wondershare UniConverter and Select Text-To-Speech
Download and install UniConverter. Open “Text to Speech.”
Step 2 Choose the Audio Type and Voice Tone
Everything you’ll need will be on the interface that opens up. First, look at the “Voice Libray” and “Audio Type” under it.
Depending on what you seek and the nature of the script, you can choose from six options: Narrative, Advertisement, Education, Social Media, Entertainment, or Conversation.
Will your script be for an explainer video on using a particular product, meaning it will be an advertisement? Or will your script be discussing waste management, so it’s for education? For this example, we chose “Entertainment” because we highlight a point about how loyal a dog can be.
The next option is to select the ‘Tone of voice.” But be aware that the audio type you choose will also determine the voice tone options you get. What we mean is if you select “Narrative,” the voice tones you can choose from will be “Authoritative,” “Deep,” and “Soft”.
Selecting a different voice type can give you other voice tones; we chose Entertainment and were given three: Articulated, Expressive, and Verstaile (we picked the latter).
Step 3 Generate Speech
Have you selected an appropriate voice type and tone? Good. Now, type out your script or copy it and paste it into the space provided to the right. You can type in a maximum of 2000 characters per script.
It will take seconds to generate a voice from the script. You can preview the speech by clicking the “play” button or export the audio file by clicking “Export.” It will be saved on your Mac in mp3 format.
