How to record a specific app on Windows
Recording any app in the background of the computer has never been easier! The Application Recorder of Wondershare UniConverter for Windows allows you to capture games, movies, or live streams in the background without affecting other activities on your computer. In other words, you can record an app in the background while browsing other websites or using other software without interfering with the screen being recorded. Follow the step-by-step guide below to learn how to record an application on Windows.
Step 1 Launch the Application Recorder.
Download and install Wondershare UniConverter on your Windows PC. From the Home button on the left pane to access the Screen Recorder function.
Now tab the Application Recorder to launch the program.
Step 2 Open the app/software you want to record.
A new window will pop up after launching the Application Recorder. Now adjust your Speaker and Microphone before clicking Select an Application to lock the application window.
After clicking the Select an Application tab, you will see a window of a step-by-step guide. Now click OK to select an app that you want to record. You can choose any app on your computer to record, and other apps can be used normally during recording. But make sure not to minimize the locked window of the app; otherwise, the recording will be interrupted.
Tips: If you want to switch the window, click "Tab" or "Shift + Tab".
Step 3 Start recording.
Click the REC button to start capturing the screen of the app. Users can record games or movies in the background without affecting other operations on the computer.
Step 4 Save the recorded video.
Click the Stop icon when you're done. The recorded video will be saved automatically. You can click the Play icon to preview the recorded video.
