How to Convert MKA to FLAC
Identify the track and add the file
Inspect the MKA file in a track-aware media tool to identify the intended audio track and its codec. Then try that file in the online converter, or add it locally in UniConverter Desktop. If the file has several tracks and your chosen converter cannot select one, isolate the intended track with a track-aware tool first.
Choose FLAC as the output
For an accepted online file, select FLAC as the output. On Desktop, select FLAC and review the output options available for that format. UniConverter’s supplied MKA format listing names AAC, AC-3, and MP3; do not assume that another codec inside an MKA file will be accepted.
Convert, save, and verify the result
Start the online conversion and download the .flac file, or convert locally on Desktop and save it to your chosen folder. Play or inspect the result to confirm it contains the intended audio. A standalone FLAC file should not be assumed to retain other MKA tracks, chapters, or tags.

Choose an MKA to FLAC Converter for Your Workflow
Free Online Conversion
Use this free MKA to FLAC converter online with no signup or login when you need a convenient one-off result without setting up a larger desktop workflow.
Track-First Decisions
Check which MKA track you need before converting. If your tool cannot select a track in a multi-track file, isolate that track with a track-aware tool rather than assuming the FLAC output will contain the right audio.
A Standalone FLAC Result
Export the chosen audio as a .flac file for a FLAC-compatible workflow. This changes how the audio is packaged; it does not recover detail lost in an AAC, AC-3, or MP3 source.
Desktop for Repeated Local Jobs
Use UniConverter Desktop on Windows or Mac when you prefer a local workflow for larger files or conversions you perform regularly, subject to support for the source file’s internal codec.
Batch Conversion and Output Control
UniConverter Desktop can batch-convert multiple supported files and provides stronger output control. Batch conversion does not mean that multiple tracks from one MKA file are retained in a single FLAC output.
1000+ Formats Across UniConverter
UniConverter supports 1000+ video, audio, and image formats across the broader product. That figure does not guarantee online acceptance of every MKA file or every codec it contains.
